As I told you in my letter Yes Pa has made my grades go up and anyone who is reading this should read Yes Pa. And I totally agree with you Yes Pa should be required in every state.

Sincerly your friend Billy

Like yours, my childhood was stolen from me (tho in a different way and for a different reason). Unlike you, I realized it when I was only 16. The self-pity that I indulged in for several years after that was very self-destructive. Your positive outlook is much more productive and healthy! I certainly hope many kids learn this lesson - even those with healthy childhoods. God has so many good things in mind for each of us, and we need to be open to receiving them!

Dear Fred -

What an inspiring story! And what a great way to spend your "retirement" years.

On my next trip to The Village, I'll have to stop by and have some stuffed grape leaves.

God bless you & your family,

Tim

Hi Tim, Indeed, being of service to kids, parents and mentors is a great way to spend retirement years. This 81-year mind and body is energized by the positive results of my new mission.

Dear Fred,
I loved your Yes Pa book! It taught me many valuable lesons! Thanks for taking the time to write it. It really made me believe that, as young as I am, I am responsible for where I will go with the rest of my life. Sarah

Fred Friday, December 7, 2007 12:25 PM
Dear Sarah, Hang onto that belief. Too often kids feel that others are responsible for their happiness or their success. At age 12, I embraced that belief and the rest is in the Yes Pa story. Fred

Two years later and you are thanking me. That is so very, very special. Keep giving it your best effort in the eight grade and forward. Fred

Hello Mr. Sarkis! I read your book, Yes, Pa, last summer and it was great! It was very interesting to learn about your child hood and how you began Bristol Mountain! I used to ski there!Thank you so very much for coming to my school and talking to us about your book and life! And also for bringing your brother!
Sincerely,

Hey wat's up. This is Kyle from last year and now I'm in 7th grade. It's just I have not been doing so good in Social Studies do you have any suggestions for me. Respond soon KYLE

Fred Sunday, April 29, 2007 01:22 PM
Hi Kyle,
Here's my advice. Read again the three important lessons in Yes Pa. Make up your mind that you are going to make a few sacrifices and work harder on your Social Studies. Then come back to this guest book and say, "Fred, guess what, I put my mind to it and I'm doing better." Do it. I know you can.

Hi Hannah,
I'm glad Yes Pa and the Teacher Resource Guide help to weave history into a research project. A special thanks to Mr. Green for his belief and help with the Yes Pa program....now going into the fifth consecutive year at your school. I look forward to my visit in June. Fred

Hi Brianna, Good to hear from you. Remember the lessons in Yes Pa and the happy ending that led to my new mission in life. So, you have empathy for me as a child. Thank you. But I will be forever grateful to my Pa for the lessons that helped me with the rest of my life. Peace back to you. Be the best you can be in all you do. Fred
