Fred Sarkis to Speak to Local Students
Fred Sarkis is a 77-year-old successful retired entrepreneur who founded a village resort and ski area near Rochester, NY. He has given over 150 volunteer motivational talks to over 35,000 school children and teachers in the past four years. His mission is best described on his professional web site YesPa.org
His total Yes Pa program is described on this web site. Character education teachers, both regionally and nationally, have recommended Fred's free program as an important segment in Character Education. The three-step program starts with Fred's one hour live auditorium presentation to a large group, followed by the free Yes Pa book and free Teachers Resource Guide.
He was his community's Citizen of the Year in 2003. He has also been named a Buffalo Bills Outstanding Volunteer Quarterback for year 2004. Fred, who winters in Bradenton, FL has volunteered his time for eight Ft. Myers school presentations from March 23 to March 26.
When Fred spoke in July 2003, at the National Conference of Character Education Teachers, he received a standing ovation.
